The Stiletto Years
Back in 1977 I joined a band as lead singer and songwriter, singing covers at clubs and pubs across the North of England. Audiences loved my original songs and The Stilettos were born! Line-up: Me on lead vocals, rhythm guitar and band songwriter. Tommy, lead guitar and backing vocals, Cliff on drums, his cousin Alan on bass. These songs are digitised from cassettes (remember them?!) Songs from an industrial working class perspective. The raw sound and energy of '70's British power pop, these songs are about class divisions, identity, love and life! And we can all relate to that can't we?
